(For those that are asking, the Ned/Cat AU is a canon AU, where Brienne is essentially Ned, and Jaime Cat.
Brienne’s older brother is due to marry Cersei, but after their younger sister Alysanne disappears with Prince Rhaegar, Galladon goes to King’s Landing. He and Selwyn die, leaving Brienne the Evenstar and with no Lannister alliance. An offer is made for her to marry Ser Jaime, and she accepts.
Brienne is determined to get justice for her family, and does not care for her new father-in-law taking over. So, during a war council meeting, Brienne puts Tywin in his place: she will fight for her family, and she’ll do it with Ser Jaime at her side so she can take him when she wants and can get an heir for her island.
It’s not love. But slowly, they become friends through the war, and love follows.)
